Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with Switzerland’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Simon Geiger on 6 October.
The sides discussed prospects for further expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as opportunities to implement new joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors, energy, geology and mining, as well as the food industry.
The talks also covered preparations for the next meeting of the Uzbek-Swiss Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Investment Cooperation.
The sides also discussed the organisation of “Days of Switzerland” in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, Laziz Kudratov and Simon Geiger confirmed their readiness to continue strengthening the Uzbek-Swiss economic partnership and develop practical cooperation in the areas discussed.
