Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek delegation held a meeting with representatives of the Secretariat of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes as part of a working mission. The parties discussed further development of international tax information exchange and the implementation of relevant mechanisms.

The meeting focused on the process of identifying jurisdictions relevant for the purposes of the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), as well as the results of Uzbekistan’s assessment by the CARF Group.

The representatives discussed further steps in this area, including the provision of additional information and continued engagement with the Secretariat of the Global Forum.

The meeting also addressed the acceleration of procedures required to begin the practical application of the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters (MAC).

The participants also discussed prospects for beginning work on implementing the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), which provides for the automatic exchange of financial account information.

During the talks, the parties discussed the necessary preparatory measures, the sequence of further steps and possible timelines for implementing mechanisms for the international automatic exchange of tax information.
