Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the business community of the Polish city of Drohiczyn discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation and establishing direct ties between companies from the two countries with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The Polish delegation included representatives of companies operating in agriculture, food production and processing, environmentally friendly products, construction, logistics and energy-efficient technologies.
During the meeting, the Polish side was presented with information on Uzbekistan’s investment climate, incentives available to participants in free economic zones, as well as opportunities to access the European market under the GSP+ system.
The parties identified the agro-industrial sector as one of the priority areas for cooperation. In particular, they discussed prospects for exporting natural dried fruits and vegetables produced in Uzbekistan to Poland.
The sides also considered cooperation in energy efficiency, including the introduction of energy-saving solutions and green technologies.
Industrial cooperation was another area discussed. The talks focused on establishing joint production facilities and increasing the volume of mutual supplies of goods.
Representatives of Polish businesses expressed interest in opportunities in the Uzbek market and readiness to develop long-term cooperation.
Following the meeting, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan agreed to provide Polish entrepreneurs with practical assistance in finding local partners, exchanging commercial proposals and organising targeted B2B meetings.
