Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Small businesses in Uzbekistan generated 518.7 trillion soums in gross value added in January–June 2026, accounting for 50.5% of the total gross value added created in the country’s economy, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The largest share of gross value added generated by small businesses came from the services sector, which accounted for 48%.

Agriculture, forestry and fisheries contributed 28.4% of the gross value added created by small businesses.

Industry accounted for 11.9%, while construction represented 11.7%.

Thus, in the first half of 2026, small businesses generated more than half of Uzbekistan’s total gross value added.
