Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An official and business delegation from the Syrian Arab Republic, led by Economy and Industry Minister Muhammad Nidal al-Shaar, has arrived in Tashkent.
The delegation includes representatives of government agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, and more than 20 major Syrian companies, according to a source.
The Syrian side is also represented by senior officials from the Ministry of Economy and Industry, federations of chambers of commerce and industry, and enterprises operating in various sectors.
In particular, the delegation includes representatives of companies working in light industry, textiles, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, construction materials production and energy.
Official meetings and B2B negotiations are planned as part of the visit. Syrian business representatives will also visit major industrial and textile enterprises in Uzbekistan.
The main areas of the visit include expanding trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, developing industrial cooperation and launching new business projects.
