Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 17 September, an Uzbek citizen and her three children were sent from Türkiye to Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The family found itself in a difficult situation after the woman, who had traveled to Türkiye for employment, was left without housing and necessary assistance together with her children. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported this.
After receiving an appeal, the Consulate General, together with the Migration Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, provided practical assistance to the family. The woman and her children were provided with food, assisted in obtaining the necessary documents and helped purchase air tickets to return to Uzbekistan.
At the airport, the woman expressed gratitude to the President for attention to the situation of women and children who find themselves in difficult circumstances abroad, as well as for initiatives to help them return home.
She also thanked employees of the Migration Agency and the Consulate General for the assistance provided.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul said it would continue providing consular, legal and practical assistance to Uzbek citizens who find themselves in difficult situations abroad, in accordance with applicable legislation.
