Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Tashkent Regional Council of People’s Deputies has approved new tariffs for drinking water supply and sewerage services, which will take effect from 1 October, the council reported.
Under the approved document, the price for one cubic meter of water for individuals, excluding VAT, will be set at 3,100 soums, compared with 2,600 soums previously. The sewerage tariff for this category of consumers will increase from 1,300 to 1,500 soums.
For budget-funded and commercial organizations, the cost of one cubic meter of water will rise from 15,000 to 16,000 soums. The sewerage tariff for these consumers will increase from 3,000 to 4,000 soums.
The previous increase in cold water and sewerage tariffs in the Tashkent region took place in the summer of last year. At that time, tariffs for households were raised by 30%, while rates for budget organizations increased by 60%.
