Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture took part in an international seminar in Uzbekistan focused on the use of digital and geospatial technologies and artificial intelligence-based solutions in agriculture, according to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
The event was organised by the Islamic Organisation for Food Security together with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan and other countries participated in the seminar.
Nurzhan Amirov, deputy director of the Department for Development of Public Services and Digitalisation of the Agro-Industrial Complex at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture, presented the main areas of digital transformation in the country’s agricultural sector.
The Kazakh side presented approaches to developing government information systems and digital public services, automating state support mechanisms for agricultural producers and making effective use of agricultural data.
Particular attention was paid to the unified digital ecosystem “E-AIC”. It is aimed at improving the efficiency of public administration in agriculture, enhancing the provision of public services and developing modern digital services for participants in the agro-industrial complex.
The seminar also examined opportunities to apply geospatial technologies and artificial intelligence in agriculture. Participants discussed the use of such solutions to analyse agricultural data, monitor land, improve resource management and develop modern digital tools for farmers.
The event also provided a platform for exchanging practical experience in the digitalisation of agriculture. Representatives of participating countries discussed current technological solutions, existing approaches to digital transformation and promising areas for developing digital services in the agricultural sector.
