Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzkimyosanoat JSC discussed with Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Machinery a project to modernize ammonia and urea production facilities at Navoiyazot JSC.
The meeting focused on opportunities to increase the company’s production volumes by 15–20% through minimal modifications to existing facilities and with minimal investment.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to establish a working group, carry out the necessary technical calculations and determine further steps for implementing the project based on the results.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) providing for the systematic organization of cooperation on the project was signed in Tashkent on 9 September on the sidelines of the Japan-Uzbekistan Forum.
