Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent region deputy governor Jahongir Mamajonov met Sun Yun, deputy governor of China's Anhui province, the Tashkent region administration said.
The two sides discussed expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, industrial collaboration and the implementation of joint projects.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in the automotive industry, agricultural technologies, logistics, green energy and modern technologies were considered.
The Uzbek side presented proposals on creating a multifunctional industrial park and a modern demonstration park for agricultural technologies in the Tashkent region. Attracting Chinese companies to implement new investment projects was also discussed.
The two sides agreed to hold business forums, B2B meetings and mutual business visits on a regular basis, and to continue developing practical interaction between the regions.
As part of the visit, conferences were also held on new sectors of Anhui province's economy, the activities of transnational corporations, Anhui — Hong Kong — Macao industrial cooperation, and trade and economic ties between Anhui, Côte d'Ivoire and Uzbekistan.
Anhui is one of China's major industrial and innovation centres. Among the key sectors of the province's economy are the automotive industry, new energy, high-technology manufacturing, artificial intelligence and the production of modern equipment.
