Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to discuss the further development of Uzbek-Georgian strategic partnership.
During the conversation, Mirziyoyev congratulated Kobakhidze on his birthday, wishing him good health and well-being and continued prosperity for the people of Georgia.
Particular attention was given to the practical implementation of agreements reached following the Uzbek president’s state visit to Georgia on 2–3 July this year.
The sides discussed further increasing bilateral trade and deepening industrial cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed strengthening transport connectivity. In this context, the importance of making effective use of the infrastructure of Georgia’s Poti and Anaklia ports was noted.
