Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 30 August, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade between Deputy Minister Shokhrukh Gulamov and Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and the next steps for implementing the agreements reached during the high-level visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan in August this year.

In particular, they discussed mechanisms and timelines for implementing the list of new joint projects in various sectors, including metallurgy, electrical engineering, chemical industry, energy, trade, agriculture, and housing construction. They also focused on measures to establish cooperation between industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

As a result of the meeting, a format for close interagency cooperation was developed to accelerate the implementation of the discussed projects and initiatives.
