Tashkent Accounts for Most Foreign-Capital Enterprises in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — As of 1 August 2026, Uzbekistan had 20,973 enterprises and organizations with foreign capital, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The largest number of enterprises with foreign capital was registered in Tashkent, with 13,114. This was significantly higher than in any other region of the country.
Tashkent region had 2,901 enterprises with foreign capital, followed by Samarkand region with 754, Ferghana region with 659 and Surkhandarya region with 630.
Andijan region had 519 such enterprises, while Bukhara region had 449. Syrdarya accounted for 341 enterprises, Navoi region for 335 and Namangan region for 331.
Jizzakh region had 283 enterprises with foreign capital, while the Republic of Karakalpakstan had 258. There were 214 such enterprises in Khorezm region and 185 in Kashkadarya region.
Thus, Tashkent remains the region with the highest concentration of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital.
Tashkent region ranks second by the number of such enterprises, while in most other regions the figure does not exceed 800.
