Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Uzbekistan took part in an international business forum in Kashgar, China, from 20 to 22 October.

The forum was held under the theme “China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone: Kashgar Section — Industrial Park Presentation and Investment Attraction,” the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said.

The delegation included O. Eshmurodov, deputy head of the Tashkent City Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry; A. Olimkhonov, chairman of the Association for the Development of Uzbek-Chinese Trade; and a group of entrepreneurs.

Alongside representatives of the host country, the forum brought together officials and businesspeople from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

An Uzbek session was held as part of the event. On 21 October, a specialised industrial presentation took place in the Hong Kong Hall, attended by 11 guests and specialists from Uzbekistan.

The delegation also visited industrial zones, e-commerce centres and logistics hubs in Kashgar.

At the conclusion of the forum, business-to-business (B2B) negotiations were organised for entrepreneurs to discuss the implementation of joint projects.
