Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology met with a Polish delegation led by Krzysztof Galos, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment and Chief Geologist of Poland, in Tashkent on 23 September. The Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan reported this.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister F. Khamidova, Deputy Minister R. Yusupov and responsible officials from the ministry.
At the beginning of the talks, the Polish delegation was briefed on the main areas of activity of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and its subordinate organizations. The participants also reviewed Uzbekistan’s capabilities in geology, the country’s mineral resource base and ongoing efforts to develop the mining industry.
The meeting focused on prospects for further expanding Uzbek-Polish cooperation in geology and mineral resources.
The sides also exchanged views on the possibility of organizing experience-sharing between the geological services of the two countries. Areas under consideration included joint research projects and the development of institutional cooperation.
