Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chibo Tang, a representative of Chinese company Gobi Partners, reviewed the investment and technological opportunities of Uzbekistan’s BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster, the Agency for Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry said.
The meeting between Chibo Tang and Agency Director Abdulla Azizov was held on 23 September. Participants were briefed on reforms underway in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry, investment opportunities and conditions for implementing modern pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects.
Particular attention was given to the development concept of BioPharma City, its research and production infrastructure, and opportunities for cooperation with international companies.
The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in research and development (R&D), biotechnology and clinical research.
Other areas discussed included attracting foreign investment and implementing promising projects.
