Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s agricultural, forestry and fisheries sector absorbed 26 trillion soums in foreign investment and loans for fixed capital in January-June 2026, the National Statistics Committee reported.

The sector accounted for 10% of the country’s total foreign investment and loans absorbed during the first six months of the year.

Investment in agriculture, forestry and fisheries has increased significantly compared with previous years. The figure stood at 3 trillion soums in January-June 2022, 2.4 trillion soums in the same period of 2023 and 6.1 trillion soums in January-June 2024.

In 2025, the volume of absorbed foreign investment and loans rose to 16.9 trillion soums.

By January-June 2026, the figure had reached 26 trillion soums.
