Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — American entrepreneurs have occupied all top 10 positions in Bloomberg’s billionaire index for the first time, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index as of 11 September.

The list is led by Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, with a fortune of US$919 billion. His wealth has increased by US$299 billion since the beginning of the year.

Google co-founder Larry Page ranks second with US$286 billion, followed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos with US$274 billion. Google co-founder Sergey Brin ranks fourth with US$266 billion.

Rounding out the top five is Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies, whose fortune has increased by more than US$100 billion since the beginning of the year to reach US$245 billion.

The remaining positions in the top 10 are held by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with US$229 billion; Oracle founder Larry Ellison, with US$208 billion; Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, with US$181 billion; and former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, with US$172 billion.

Investor Warren Buffett ranks tenth with a fortune of US$144 billion.

Bernard Arnault, founder and head of French conglomerate LVMH, ranks outside the top 10. Bloomberg estimates his fortune at US$143 billion, less than US$1 billion below Buffett’s. Arnault’s wealth has declined by nearly US$65 billion since the beginning of the year, one of the largest drops among index members.

This is the first time since the index was launched in 2012 that all ten top positions have been held by US citizens. All of them represent the technology sector, except Warren Buffett, whose wealth is classified as diversified assets.
