Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — NVIDIA co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang has proposed turning Kazakhstan into a global hub for Physical AI, a form of artificial intelligence that interacts with the physical world.

He made the proposal during a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on 23 October, the Akorda press service said.

Tokayev described artificial intelligence and digitalisation as national priorities and noted that 2026 had been declared the Year of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan.

Huang said Kazakhstan had significant potential to develop AI, citing the availability of energy resources and the training of qualified specialists.

“Developing artificial intelligence requires, above all, energy resources, as well as people with knowledge of science, mathematics and technology. Kazakhstan has significant potential to develop each of these areas,” the NVIDIA chief said.

He also reported progress in cooperation with Kazakh companies, including Firebird AI KZ Ltd and Kazakhtelecom. NVIDIA also supports Higgsfield, described as Kazakhstan’s first technology unicorn — a startup valued at at least US$1 billion.

Following the meeting, Tokayev awarded Huang the Order of Dostyk, First Class, for his contribution to the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said Uzbekistan had broad opportunities to cooperate with the United States in developing data centres.
