UzAuto Motors starts sales of Chevrolet Equinox PHEV

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — UzAuto Motors has announced the start of sales in Uzbekistan of the Chevrolet Equinox PHEV hybrid crossover. The company describes the model as the first plug-in hybrid Chevrolet vehicle introduced to the domestic market, according to the company’s press service.

The vehicle is available in two configurations — Activ 80KM and Activ 120KM.

The Chevrolet Equinox PHEV is equipped with a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) system that allows the battery to be charged from an external power grid. This enables everyday trips to be made primarily on electric power, while the gasoline engine provides additional range for longer journeys.

Depending on the configuration, the crossover is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 17 or 24 kWh. The Activ 80KM version can travel up to 80 km on electric power, while the Activ 120KM can travel up to 120 km. With a fully charged battery and a filled fuel tank, the vehicle’s total range exceeds 1,000 km.

The hybrid powertrain includes a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine, an electric motor producing 188 hp and a two-speed DHT transmission. According to the company, this combination provides fuel efficiency, dynamic acceleration and a smooth driving experience.

Safety and driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree surround-view camera, six airbags and traffic sign recognition. Additional technologies are also provided to enhance driver attentiveness and passenger protection.

The interior features an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11-inch touchscreen multimedia system. Equipment also includes Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and heated and ventilated front seats.

The recommended retail price of the Chevrolet Equinox PHEV Activ 80KM is 463.5 million soums. The Activ 120KM version is priced at 478.5 million soums.
