Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Belarus’ Minsk Region, led by Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexey Kushnarenko, visited Ferghana Region to review investment projects, industrial enterprises and the region’s tourism potential, the Ferghana Region hokimiyat said.
As part of the visit, the delegation traveled to Uchkuprik and Furkat districts, as well as the city of Kokand.
The Belarusian representatives reviewed ongoing investment projects, modern production facilities and historical and cultural sites.
In the Kokand Free Economic Zone, the delegation visited the family enterprise SADAF SUT and learned about its dairy production.
The guests also visited BNBM Building Materials Central Asia, where gypsum board and decorative construction materials are produced, as well as the ceramic tile production project at the foreign-invested enterprise Yong Xin.
In Furkat District, representatives of Minsk Region reviewed a yarn production project implemented by the joint venture Musawartex Group.
The delegation also visited the Khudoyarkhan Citadel in Kokand, where they learned about the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
During the visit, representatives of Ferghana and Minsk regions discussed opportunities to expand industrial cooperation, investment ties and cultural and humanitarian relations. Following the talks, the sides agreed on further cooperation.
The delegation was accompanied by Ferghana Region Deputy Hokim Khurshidjon Akhmedov.
