Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The 11th round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Poland was held in Tashkent on 23 September. The talks focused on developing bilateral ties, trade and economic relations, investment cooperation and interaction on international issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Madrahimov, while the Polish delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Wojciech Zajaczkowski.
During the consultations, the sides reviewed the current state and prospects of relations between the two countries in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation. The participants discussed, in particular, exchanges of visits between relevant ministries and companies of Uzbekistan and Poland.
Representatives of the two countries also exchanged views on current international and regional issues. The sides confirmed their interest in closely coordinating their activities within the United Nations, the European Union and other multilateral international organizations.
Following the consultations, the sides agreed to continue regular political dialogue to further develop Uzbek-Polish cooperation.
