Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The National Agency of Perspective Projects of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation from PASHA Financial Holding (PFH) led by CEO Farid Mammadov and representatives of Business Consult Group.
The sides discussed the development of the insurance market, improvements to regulation and issues related to e-commerce, the National Agency of Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.
During the meeting, participants reviewed key areas for developing Uzbekistan’s insurance market, approaches to supervising insurance organizations and procedures for licensing insurance activities.
The parties also discussed capital requirements for insurers.
Representatives of the sides reviewed conditions for foreign financial groups and investors to enter the country’s insurance market.
The digitalization of the insurance sector and the introduction of new insurance products were identified as promising areas.
A separate part of the talks focused on e-commerce. Participants discussed the regulation of market operators and further development of the infrastructure needed to expand the sector.
PASHA Financial Holding brings together the financial assets of PASHA Holding, one of Azerbaijan’s leading private business groups operating in finance, real estate, retail, agriculture, technology and other sectors. At the end of 2025, the group’s total assets amounted to US$17 billion, while total revenue reached US$3.5 billion.
PFH includes PASHA Bank, Kapital Bank, Birbank, PASHA Insurance and PASHA Life, as well as marketplaces and technology companies and businesses in real estate, tourism, retail and agriculture.
Following the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of exchanging experience in regulating and developing the insurance and e-commerce markets.
The participants agreed to continue cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
