Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the defence ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan held staff talks to discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral military cooperation.

The meeting took place at the International Military Cooperation Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said.

The talks were held in accordance with the 2026 bilateral military cooperation plan approved by the defence ministries of the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state of cooperation and opportunities for its further development. They also considered issues of mutual interest.

The participants noted the contribution of regular meetings between the defence ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to the exchange of experience between the two countries’ armed forces.

Particular attention was paid to the draft Plan of Bilateral Military Cooperation for 2027 between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
