Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A group of 20 doctors from medical institutions in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region has traveled to Russia’s Moscow region for professional training and an exchange of experience, the Tashkent regional administration said.

Over 14 days, obstetricians and gynecologists, neonatologists and pediatricians will receive training at the Balashikha Perinatal Center and the Mytishchi Children’s Multidisciplinary Clinical Center.

The training is being conducted under a memorandum of cooperation between medical institutions in Tashkent and Moscow regions. As part of the program, the Uzbek specialists will study the practices of their Russian counterparts and modern approaches to providing medical care.

For pediatricians, the program focuses on child healthcare, medical assistance for newborns and critically ill children, and the treatment of patients with various pathologies.

The program also includes studying international experience and modern medical methods, with the knowledge gained during the training planned for subsequent use in healthcare institutions in Tashkent region.

Particular attention within the exchange program is being given to improving the quality of medical care in maternal and child health.

In addition to training at medical institutions in Moscow region, pediatricians from Tashkent region will participate in the 7th Congress of Pediatricians of Russia.

The educational program is part of broader cooperation between medical institutions in the two regions. The knowledge acquired during the trip is expected to be used to improve medical practices in Tashkent region.
