Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Riyadh has issued an advisory to citizens staying in Saudi Arabia or planning to travel there, warning of possible changes to air services amid regional tensions, the Dunyo Information Agency reported.
According to the report, amid an escalation of the conflict in Yemen, Houthi forces launched missile strikes against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha Airport. Saudi authorities said three people were killed and another 36 injured in the attacks.
In response, a Saudi-led coalition struck 82 Houthi sites in Yemen, including 11 mountain storage facilities containing missiles.
The embassy warned that the tense regional situation could affect flight schedules, routes and transit arrangements.
Passengers were advised to take possible changes into account when planning international travel. Disruptions to air services could result in delays, involuntary connections and longer journeys.
The diplomatic mission said the domestic situation in Saudi Arabia remained stable, with no threats to public safety or special restrictive measures reported.
Recommendations for Citizens
The embassy urged Uzbek citizens to avoid areas near the Saudi-Yemeni border and follow local authorities’ safety instructions.
Citizens were also advised not to photograph military facilities or the aftermath of incidents, refrain from spreading unverified information, monitor official announcements and carry identification documents.
