Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a warm and productive meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
The sides noted with satisfaction the steady positive dynamics in the development of relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between the two countries. It was emphasized that a solid and long-term foundation has been established at the level of the two nations’ leaders, ensuring the consistent strengthening of bilateral ties.
During the talks, it was noted that political dialogue between the countries is developing at all levels, while trade turnover continues to grow steadily, including through increased exports of finished goods.
Particular attention was given to expanding interregional cooperation, business engagement, and cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The sides also discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events planned for the current year.
The foreign ministries of both countries reaffirmed that further deepening of the strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations remains a key priority of their foreign policy cooperation.
