Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with UZKORO head Paek Seong-kwon to discuss expanding cooperation in education and implementing joint investment projects.
The meeting also focused on introducing modern technologies in educational institutions across the region.
Khayrullo Bozorov noted that the recent state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea had given bilateral cooperation new momentum.
According to him, the development of relations between the two countries is creating additional opportunities to expand interregional ties and implement new projects involving Korean investors in Ferghana region.
During the meeting, information was presented on UZKORO's activities in the region. In particular, the company has launched a project to provide and install, free of charge, insect and virus protection equipment produced by South Korean company SNC Co., Ltd. at nine educational institutions in the city of Ferghana.
The sides noted that similar work would be continued on a larger scale at the next stage.
The participants also exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects.
Following the talks, Ferghana region and UZKORO signed a memorandum of cooperation.
