Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan produced 4.4 trillion soums worth of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations in January-August 2026. Physical production volume increased by 24.9% compared with the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Tashkent accounted for the largest share of output, producing pharmaceutical products worth 2.4 trillion soums during the first eight months of the year.

Production in Syrdarya Region totalled 913.7 billion soums, while Tashkent Region recorded 332.5 billion soums. Output reached 256.5 billion soums in Namangan Region and 167.6 billion soums in Samarkand Region.

Andijan Region produced pharmaceutical products worth 92.6 billion soums, followed by Ferghana Region with 67.7 billion soums and Surkhandarya Region with 65.2 billion soums.

Production amounted to 21.7 billion soums in Khorezm Region, 20.3 billion soums in Kashkadarya Region and 11.2 billion soums in Bukhara Region.

The Republic of Karakalpakstan produced pharmaceutical products worth 4 billion soums. Output stood at 300 million soums in Navoi Region and 100 million soums in Jizzakh Region.
