Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The third meeting of the Council of Regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation will be held in the Ferghana region on 5–6 October. The forum will take place at the Ferghana Expo international exhibition complex and IT Park.
The meeting will focus on expanding direct cooperation between the regions of the two countries, business communities and industry organizations, as well as developing new investment and cooperation projects.
The forum will include the 12th joint meeting of the Uzbekistan-Russia and Russia-Uzbekistan Business Councils. The program will also feature five panel sessions dedicated to industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, and cultural and humanitarian ties.
A business networking session involving representatives of the Uzbek and Russian business communities will be held as part of the program. The participants will discuss new projects and initiatives of mutual interest.
An exhibition will also be organized in Ferghana to showcase the economic, industrial and investment potential of the regions of the two countries.
The forum will also feature Days of Siberia in Uzbekistan. The program is aimed at further developing interregional economic and cultural ties.
The third meeting of the Council of Regions is expected to create additional opportunities for expanding industrial cooperation and investment ties, developing transport and logistics links, and implementing joint initiatives in the energy and agro-industrial sectors.
The forum will also provide a platform for strengthening direct and long-term contacts between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
