Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russia significantly increased wheat supplies to Uzbekistan in the first eight months of 2026, according to the federal Agroexport center.
From January through August, Russian suppliers shipped more than 71,000 tonnes of wheat to Uzbekistan worth over US$12.6 million. Compared with the same period a year earlier, export volumes increased 15.9 times, while the value of exports rose 13.4 times.
Most of the shipments were made in August. More than 65,000 tonnes of Russian wheat were delivered to Uzbekistan that month.
According to Agroexport, the August figure was the highest recorded throughout the observation period.
The previous record was set in September 2022, when shipments amounted to about 11,000 tonnes.
Thus, August accounted for more than 90% of the total volume of Russian wheat supplied to Uzbekistan in January-August 2026.
