Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan imported 3.26 million mobile phones worth US$653.5 million in January-August 2026.
The number of imported devices increased by 527,200, or 19.2%, compared with the same period last year, the Customs Committee said.
The average import value of one mobile phone this year was about US$200.
In the first eight months of 2025, Uzbekistan imported 2.73 million mobile devices worth a total of US$305.7 million. The average value of one phone at the time was US$111.7.
Thus, the average import value of mobile phones increased by US$88.3, or 79%, year-on-year.
China remains the largest supplier of mobile phones to Uzbekistan.
The devices are also imported from Vietnam, India, the Republic of Korea and other countries.
