Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s construction sector received 27.2 trillion soums in foreign investment and loans in fixed capital in January–June 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The construction sector accounted for 10.5% of the total volume of foreign investment and loans utilized in the country during the period. The overall figure reached 259 trillion soums.

Compared with January–June 2025, the volume of foreign investment and loans directed to construction increased 2.4 times. A year earlier, the sector had received 11.2 trillion soums.

The January–June figures for recent years show significant changes in the volume of foreign investment and loans allocated to construction. In 2022, the figure stood at 3.2 trillion soums, rising to 4.4 trillion soums in 2023 and 15.3 trillion soums in 2024.

The figure declined to 11.2 trillion soums in 2025, before reaching 27.2 trillion soums in January–June 2026.
