Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasymov held a meeting with representatives of the business community of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to discuss prospects for expanding investment and trade and economic cooperation.
The talks focused on strengthening direct ties between business representatives of the two countries and implementing joint initiatives.
Areas of cooperation include medicine and healthcare, medical tourism, construction, the production of modern construction and finishing materials, and the localization of advanced technologies.
The participants also discussed the upcoming participation of representatives of the Xinjiang business community in the International Investment Forum, which will be held on 25–26 September in Nukus.
Following the talks, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in further practical development of joint projects.
