Uzbek tourists to Türkiye rise 16.8% in eight months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 212,265 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Türkiye for tourism purposes in January–August 2026.

Compared with the same period last year, the number of trips increased by 30,500, or 16.8%, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The majority of Uzbek citizens travelled to Türkiye for tourism, with 176,137 people visiting the country for this purpose.

Another 31,158 people travelled to Türkiye to visit relatives. A total of 2,446 Uzbek citizens visited the country for medical treatment.

Business trips were made by 1,233 people, while 1,291 Uzbek citizens travelled to Türkiye for education.
