Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture discussed prospects for investment cooperation in agriculture and the food industry with Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Ltd. (CPF), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.
The meeting was attended by a CPF delegation led by Buri Srina, general director of the company’s representative office in Russia. The sides reviewed existing opportunities for cooperation and preparations for joint investment projects.
At the beginning of the meeting, CPF representatives presented information about the company’s operations, its experience in the agricultural and food sectors, international projects and investment activities. A separate presentation focused on the company’s poultry farm in Russia.
The sides identified the production of cattle and poultry feed, development of poultry farming and livestock breeding, introduction of modern agrotechnologies, and the use of biosecurity technologies and systems as priority areas of cooperation.
Following the meeting, the participants discussed promising projects, possible forms of cooperation, assessment of investment volumes and required resources, as well as further preparations for the relevant investment initiatives.
