Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek Justice Minister Akbar Tashkulov held a meeting on 15 September with Rashad Mammadov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan. The sides discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation in justice and law, as well as its further development, the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan said.
During the meeting, the sides considered ways to strengthen existing ties and identified priority areas for future cooperation.
It was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are developing on the basis of a shared history, linguistic affinity, spiritual and cultural values, as well as common customs and traditions.
Digitalization of Public Services
Particular attention was paid to continuing cooperation in the digitalization of public services, the introduction of modern technologies and the exchange of best practices.
Cooperation in these areas will be developed under the Cooperation Program for 2027–2028, signed on 23 August 2026 between the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
