Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek citizens who found themselves in difficult circumstances in Russia have returned to Uzbekistan with their children with the assistance of the Migration Agency, which arranged and paid for their airline tickets, the agency’s press service reported.

The return was organised with support from the Migration Agency’s representative office in Russia. Assistance was provided to citizens in Moscow, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk.

Among those who returned was Firuz Sobirov, who had faced difficulties in Kazan. He said his brother, Laziz Ochilov, contacted the Migration Agency to ask for help arranging his return to Uzbekistan. The agency subsequently organised the trip.

Another Uzbek citizen said he encountered difficulties after finishing his job and failing to find new employment. After learning online that the Migration Agency could provide assistance, he contacted the agency and received a free airline ticket.

Shirin Jabborova also expressed gratitude for the assistance with her return. She said the consulate in Kazan issued her a certificate for return to Uzbekistan, while the Migration Agency provided airline tickets for her and her children.

The Migration Agency urged citizens facing difficult circumstances abroad to contact its representative office in Russia for assistance.

The representative office’s 24-hour call centre can be reached at +7 (495) 803-40-00. A hotline is also available at +7 (925) 045-47-44. Requests can be sent to both numbers via Telegram, WhatsApp and MAX.
