Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with Syria’s Minister of Economy and Industry Muhammad Nidal al-Shaar in Tashkent on 18 September, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade said.
The key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum on the Establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Committee. To implement the agreements reached, the sides plan to develop a Roadmap for 2026–2028.
The official launch of the Uzbek-Syrian Business Council was also initiated. Practical discussions on new initiatives will continue at a business forum involving entrepreneurs from the two countries.
