Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan Feruza Khamidova, together with ministry officials and the management of UzTMC JSC, held a meeting with Israel’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Gideon Lustig and Asaf Shirman, regional financial attaché for Asian countries at Israel’s Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan said.

The guests were briefed on reforms carried out in Uzbekistan’s mining and geology sectors in recent years, the new version of the Subsoil Law, the investment environment and conditions being created for investors, the offering of prospective areas to entrepreneurs through the E-Auksion platform based on transparent mechanisms, the activities of UzTMC, as well as projects in hydrogeology, industry digitalization and metallurgy.

The Israeli side expressed interest in cooperation in groundwater and critical metals. It was noted that Israel has experience in hydrogeology, and the sides proposed considering the possibility of Israel presenting relevant proposals and technological solutions for the study and use of groundwater.

The Israeli side also noted its participation in the GEOMIN 2026 conference and highly evaluated the scale and practical significance of the event.
