Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh held a meeting on 17 September with representatives of Xuzhou College of Industrial Technology of the People’s Republic of China and XCMG, the Karakalpak State University said.
During the meeting, university rector B. Jollybekov and the Chinese delegation discussed the development of cooperation in education, science and production. The sides exchanged views on training highly qualified specialists with practical skills based on modern technologies.
Following the talks, a trilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed between Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, Xuzhou College of Industrial Technology and XCMG.
The document provides for several key areas of cooperation, including training specialists in construction engineering in line with modern international requirements, jointly developing educational programs and teaching materials, organizing exchanges of academic and technical staff, and improving students’ practical training.
One of the key areas of cooperation will be the introduction of a dual education system. Under this model, students will not only receive theoretical knowledge at the university but also undergo practical training directly at XCMG’s production and service facilities. Particular attention will be paid to organizing industrial internships, developing skills in working with modern machinery and technologies, and building professional competencies that meet labor market requirements.
The sides also discussed a joint project to establish an Uzbekistan branch of the XCMG Institute of Overseas Construction Machinery Technology at the construction faculty of Karakalpak State University.
The project envisages introducing modern educational programs, integrating advanced international experience into the curriculum and expanding opportunities to train specialists closely connected with the production sector.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to strengthen the integration of education and production, gradually introduce effective dual learning mechanisms and implement joint educational projects.
The cooperation is expected to help combine students’ theoretical training with practical experience, introduce international expertise into the educational process and expand opportunities for training qualified specialists in modern engineering fields.
