Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials of newly appointed Belgian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Matthias Kende on 10 September.

During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of the Belgian Embassy beginning its operations in Tashkent for the further development of bilateral relations.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belgium.

The sides confirmed their readiness to continue developing relations both bilaterally and within the framework of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the European Union.

Saidov wished Kende success in his diplomatic activities in Uzbekistan.
