Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The embankment of the Salar Canal in Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek district is planned to be landscaped along the section passing through the Mirzakalon Ismoiliy and Asaka mahallas. A modern recreation area will be created there, the press service of the Mirzo Ulugbek district administration said.
The section to be landscaped will be about 1.5 km long. The area starts from the building of the Mirzo Ulugbek district administration and extends to the Central Recreation Park.
As part of the project, existing trees and green areas will be preserved and improved. Buildings located along the canal will undergo an inventory, while areas occupied illegally will be brought into compliance with established procedures.
Pedestrian and bicycle paths, as well as special paths for people with disabilities, are planned for the area. Benches and gazebos will also be installed, while children’s playgrounds and workout areas will be created.
The ground-floor premises of apartment buildings No. 1A, 2, 3, 5 and 7 in the Mirzakalon Ismoiliy mahalla are planned to be used to develop entrepreneurship and create new jobs.
