Uzbekistan Presents Anti-Corruption Reforms at UN Session

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan presented the international community with the results of reforms aimed at preventing and combating corruption during the 17th session on the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, held in Vienna from 31 August to 4 September.

Uzbekistan delivered a separate report on its implementation of the convention. The report provided information on the progress of its implementation in the country and changes made to the national corruption prevention system in recent years.

Members of the Uzbek delegation stressed that the country’s anti-corruption reforms had become irreversible.

One example of the further development of this work was a decision adopted on 30 December 2025.

According to the information presented, following the adoption of the relevant presidential document, efforts to prevent and combat corruption entered a new stage.

Uzbekistan has also launched the Digital Compliance information and software system, designed to introduce modern mechanisms in this area.

In addition, new tools for preventing corruption risks are being introduced in government bodies, including judicial institutions.

At the session, the Uzbek side presented the range of reforms being implemented in the country to further develop corruption prevention mechanisms and fulfil its international obligations under the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
