Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The annual Coca-Cola Student Cup 2026 football tournament was held in Tashkent from 26 September to 3 November, bringing together 68 teams and 816 students from different universities.

Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekistan, in partnership with the Professional Football League, organises the Coca-Cola Student Cup university football tournament every year to support student sports and promote an active lifestyle among young people. The championship brought together students from various universities, giving them an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting skills, compete for the title and gain experience in a major football event.

Throughout the tournament, matches were fiercely contested, with each team demonstrating its sporting ability, team spirit and determination to win. A total of 68 teams competed for a place in the final, where Stars and Renessans faced off for the Coca-Cola Student Cup 2026 title. Renessans won the decisive match.

Odil Ahmedov, a well-known Uzbek footballer who captained the national team from September 2015 to June 2021 and serves as vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association, was the guest of honour at the final. He personally congratulated the participants and winners. His presence was an important moment for the young footballers and provided additional motivation to develop their skills and pursue new goals.

Coca-Cola has supported football initiatives and projects aimed at developing sports and bringing young people together for many years. The company is also a partner of Uzbekistan’s national team. Initiatives such as the Student Cup, organised in Tashkent in partnership with the Professional Football League, help promote an active lifestyle, strengthen team spirit and create opportunities for young people to express themselves through sport.

“For us, this tournament is not only an opportunity to play football and compete for victory, but also a chance to represent our university, meet students from other universities and experience genuine team support. Competitions like this motivate us to take part in sports and set new goals,” one tournament participant said.
