Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, held talks with Peter Lee, chairman of Hong Kong-based Henderson Land Group, to discuss potential areas for investment cooperation.
Prospective areas of cooperation include renewable energy, infrastructure development in New Tashkent, and education.
Mirziyoyeva emphasised Uzbekistan’s interest in attracting investment and expanding partnerships with major companies from Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China.
She said the authorities were ready to support joint initiatives, including through the opportunities offered by the planned Tashkent International Financial Centre.
The head of the Presidential Administration expressed confidence that there was significant potential for further developing economic ties between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
