Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Belarus discussed the organized employment of Uzbek citizens in Belarus, including Vitebsk Region, Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency reported.
Migration Agency Director Muhsinhoja Abdurakhmonov met with Belarusian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Alexander Ogorodnikov.
During the meeting, it was noted that employers in Vitebsk Region had reported a need for around 800 workers. After reviewing the documents of candidates from Andijan Region, a list of 204 people was compiled.
Candidates from other regions of Uzbekistan are also expected to be included in the selection process.
The vacancies are in livestock farming, tractor operations, driving and auxiliary work. At the initial stage, candidates’ documents and professional skills are being reviewed.
The final selection will be conducted through online interviews with employers from Belarus.
The meeting also proposed exploring the possibility of employers covering citizens’ travel expenses to their place of employment in advance.
