Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — IT Park Uzbekistan and Academia Park London discussed further cooperation to support Uzbek startups entering international markets.
The meeting between IT Park Uzbekistan Director General Azamat Karamatov and Academia Park London Co-founder and CEO Ata Arduger was held as part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026.
One of the main areas of discussion was promoting Uzbek startups in the United Kingdom and Türkiye.
The sides considered establishing contacts with investors, technology companies and potential partners, as well as developing soft-landing mechanisms to help businesses enter new markets.
The participants also discussed prospects for cooperation under the London Hub initiative and the possibility of launching a market-entry programme for Uzbek startups interested in the Turkish market.
Particular attention was paid to the participation of Uzbekistan’s technology companies in international events, including Money20/20, as well as the organization of business missions.
In particular, the sides considered organizing a programme in Türkiye next year involving five Uzbek startups.
IT Park Uzbekistan and Academia Park London are already implementing joint initiatives. Academia Park supported the participation of Central Asian delegations in London Tech Week in 2025 and 2026, including startups from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The company also supported IT Park Uzbekistan’s participation in the GovTech Summit in April 2026. With Academia Park’s support, UZINFOCOM was able to participate in Money20/20 Europe.
Academia Park London was founded in London in 2023. The platform supports startups, scaleups and innovative companies from emerging markets seeking to enter the UK and European markets.
The opportunities it provides include access to mentoring support, investors, corporate partners, workspace infrastructure and international business development programmes.
