Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An interparliamentary forum between Uzbekistan and Belarus will be held in Khiva on 29–30 September, following a meeting of the Organising Committee chaired by Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

The forum will continue the state visit of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus on 9 July 2026, following which relations between the two countries were elevated to the level of strategic partnership.

The agenda includes improving the legal framework for trade, economic and investment cooperation, industrial cooperation, digital transformation, the agro-industrial sector, healthcare, education and tourism.

The forum programme will include a meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission, a meeting of youth parliaments, a meeting of local representative bodies and the fourth Uzbekistan-Belarus Women’s Business Forum.

Over the past three years, the Women’s Business Forum has established itself as a platform for effective negotiations. At the first forum, held in Minsk in 2023, 42 documents worth more than US$28.7 million were signed. The second forum, held in Tashkent in 2024, resulted in 65 agreements and memoranda worth more than US$89 million. The third forum in 2025 produced 49 documents, including commercial contracts worth US$88.2 million.

The fourth forum will feature four thematic sessions covering industrial cooperation, food security and biotechnology, humanitarian cooperation and tourism. B2B and G2B meetings are also planned.

The responsible ministries and agencies have been instructed to organise the event to a high standard.
