Uzbek President Congratulates Italian PM Meloni on Record Tenure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter to Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni, congratulating her on a historic achievement as the country's longest-serving head of government.
The Uzbek head of state noted that this result demonstrates the high level of trust of the Italian people in Meloni's political will, determination, and sense of state responsibility.
Special attention in the congratulation was paid to the Italian prime minister's efforts to protect national interests, as well as to strengthen the country's authority and influence within the European Union and on the international stage amid a complex and rapidly changing environment.
Mirziyoyev also expressed gratitude to Meloni for her friendly attitude toward Uzbekistan and her attention to the consistent expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.
The president emphasized that Uzbekistan highly values the established strategic partnership with Italy. He stated that political dialogue, trade, economic, and investment interaction, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries are consistently expanding, acquiring new substance, and reaching a qualitatively new level.
At the conclusion of the letter, Mirziyoyev wished Meloni strong health, family happiness, and success in her state activities, while wishing the people of Italy peace, well-being, and prosperity.
